SwissINSO Holding has launched a water purification unit that is powered by solar power. This product was developed using cutting-edge patented technologies. This cost-effective solar water purification unit will help to address the growing drinking water scarcity problem all over the world.
The product uses a patented reverse osmosis membrane filtration technology, which enhances its performance as well as its life expectancy. It is available in various configurations and is capable of providing 100,000 liters per day of high quality drinking water from seawater. It can also purify 500,000 liters per day of spoiled water and 200,000 liters per day of brackish water.
This solar water purification unit does not depend on local grid utilities while operating and is environmentally friendly also. Since this product is self-sufficient in power, it can be deployed in any area where power is not available or insufficient such as in remote areas, developing countries, islands, resorts and hotel chains. It can be used for various applications including to provide water for people affected by natural disasters where lack of pure drinking water will be disastrous for the affected people.
Advanced photovoltaic modules are used to power the water purification units. Solar storage batteries are charged by the panels to enable the unit to operate during night times. It can be also equipped with an optional automatic bottling line.
