PHOTON Consulting has released a new PV market demand report titled “Solar Power Markets: Prepare for Impact” that highlights the need for solar companies to increase their exploration of end-markets outside Germany. This report was released in the midst of discussions about changes to be included in the Germany’s solar power feed-in-tariff (EEG).
PHOTON Consulting decided to work on this report as the company’s team of analysts discussed about the changes that could be brought to Germany’s feed-in-tariff. These discussions started from the middle of the year 2009. Michael Rogol, CEO of PHOTON Consulting based in Boston and a leading global PV analyst, referred to the changes in the EEG that are being discussed as a first step toward a German PV market that is a lot more constrained. Rogol further remarked that the implication for solar power companies to diversify away from Germany is very clear.
This message is the core of PHOTON Consulting’s market demand report “Solar Power Markets: Prepare for Impact” which predicts the German PV market turn-off by the year 2013. This report provides a current outlook of the demand for PV installation for 13 existing global markets. A 30-page profile is available for each end-market and this profile includes project economics, critical market-specific data, regulatory requirements, analysis on price and volume trends and key market participants.
Rogol suggested that the saturation of a significant market like Germany can be survived by companies by building sales channels at all steps of the supply chain for a dozen of end-markets instead of just relying on the German market.
A webinar will be hosted by PHOTON Consulting if important German policy changes are made to Germany’s solar power feed-in-tariff. Through this webinar PHOTON Consulting will discuss the impact of these changes on volume and price in the PV sector. Customers who have bought the report will have a free access to the webinar and for others wanting to access the webinar will have to pay $950 per person.
