Progressive Geothermal Solutions designs and installs different models of geothermal heating and cooling systems from Maritime Geothermal. The geothermal heat pumps used for installation are W-Series and R-Series models. The Nordic W-Series liquid-to-water heat pump is utilized for closed ground loops and open water wells.
Nordic W-Series Liquid-to-Water Heat Pump
The Nordic W-Series liquid-to-water heat pump is designed specifically to generate hot water in large quantities. It can be installed on closed loop systems or open well systems. This heat pump is offered with domestic hot water desuperheaters. It can operate as a heating and cooling system or as a heating system only. This liquid-to-water unit supplied by Progressive Geothermal Solutions is available in different capacities ranging from 18,000 BTU to 800,000 BTU or in other words, from 1.5 tons to 65 tons.
The Nordic W-Series liquid-to-water heat pump includes a R22 refrigerant, Copeland scroll compressor, oversized commercial quality relays, TXV expansion valve system, filter drier, sight glass, filter drier and a liquid line receiver. It has a Ranco 2-stage digital aquastat thermostat and Turbotec coaxial heat exchanger. There is an electronic lock-out board available with short cycle timer protection. The cabinet of the W-Series heat pump is satin galvanized and acoustically insulated. Both high and low service ports are pre-installed in the heat pump for easy connection. The Nordic W-Series liquid-to-water heat pump can be used with swimming pool heating, concrete in-floor heating systems where large quantity of hot water is required.
