N-Viro International Submits Permit Application for Pilot Facility to Produce Renewable Biofuel

N-Viro International has submitted permit applications with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for a pilot facility that is capable of producing a suitable amount of N-Viro Fuel to conduct required tests at several power generators. N-Viro International is an environmental and materials operating company owning patented technologies for converting different waste materials into reusable products.

After receiving the approval from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, N-Viro is planning to produce the N-Viro Fuel product and conduct test burn demonstrations. Local supplies of biosolids obtained from municipal wastewater treatment facilities will be required for these tests. N-Viro International expects to receive the permit approval and start the production process during the first half of the year 2010.

A full-scale production of N-Viro Fuel will be demonstrated by the portable pilot facility. N-Viro International is planning to conduct a number of tests burn applications using this pilot facility. The company intends to utilize the pilot test facility to carry out many test burn applications where the N-Viro Fuel can be mixed with waste coal, coal and biomass types of fuel. The plant will also provide analytical data for developing projects.

Timothy Kasmoch, President and CEO of N-Viro, remarked that the pilot facility is actually considered to be a small scale production unit. Test demonstrations needed by power generators to receive appropriate permits for the commercialization of N-Viro Fuel will be accommodated by the pilot and production facility. Kasmoch stated that the company is planning to use this portable facility all over the United States to support its efforts to develop N-Viro Fuel.
