SHEC Energy Signs Global Agreement with Emerson Process Management to Bring Solar Thermal Power Plants Online

SHEC Energy, a leading Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) producer, has signed a global agreement with Emerson Process Management to assist the company to bring solar thermal power plants online.

Emerson’s advanced automation services were selected by SHEC Energy to maximize the efficiency as well as reliability of its new renewable energy projects across the world and to assist the company to reduce the cost of power generated from these projects to be competitive with the cost of power from conventional sources.

Tom Beck, SHEC Energy CEO, said that the company aims to be the lowest cost renewable energy provider in the world and the collaboration with Emerson Process Management is an important strategy to achieve that goal. By partnering with one of the leading process automation companies in the world, SHEC Energy aims to operate lowest cost renewable energy plants with highest efficiency in the world.

SHEC Energy possesses the technology that enables it to generate solar electricity at costs nearing the conventional, fossil fuel-based technologies. The technology can be utilized to produce heat for industrial use as well as to produce hydrogen, a renewable fuel.
