Palm Springs based American Leak Detection, high-tech specialists in non-invasive water leak location, has received top honors from both the Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur(R) Magazine.
The Wall Street Journal named American Leak Detection one of the Top 25 Franchise High Performers in the country for being well-established, financially strong and successful in the franchising business. Additionally, for the seventh straight year, American Leak Detection was ranked #1 in its category by Entrepreneur(R) Magazine in its 29th Annual Franchise 500.
"Since 1974, we have addressed two serious global concerns: water conservation and environmental contamination," says Stan Berenbaum, CEO of American Leak Detection. "We are proud to be recognized, proud of our commitment to the environment and thankful for our dedicated customers, employees, franchisees and business partners."
Founded 34 years ago, American Leak Detection operates a network of highly trained leak specialists in eight countries who specialize in the accurate, non-destructive detection of hidden water, sewer and other leaks. Using proprietary equipment and methods, leaks are located without destroying walls or digging holes thereby avoiding unnecessary property and other damage.
"Given the serious water availability and infrastructure issues throughout the world, our goal is to create a 'one-stop-shop' offering of environmentally friendly products and services related to water management, conservation and recycling," says Berenbaum.
The Wall Street Journal report was assisted by FRANdata, an Arlington, Virginia, independent research firm that helped analyze franchise data from the past three years to compile the top list. FRANdata found there are now more than 230 types of businesses that do franchising and more than 2,900 active franchise brands in the U.S. American Leak Detection was selected as one of the Top 25 franchises for performing well financially and satisfying a multitude of additional qualifiers.
Entrepreneur(R) Magazine researches and analyzes hundreds of franchise companies to determine the best in specific industry categories. Companies are judged on many factors including financial strength, stability, growth rate, number of years in business, with an independent CPA review of financial data.
