Trina Solar Enters into PV Modules Sales Agreement with ITEC in Germany

Trina Solar Limited has entered into an agreement with ITEC of Germany for the sale of 40 MW of PV modules. Trina Solar manufactures ingots, wafers, solar cells and assembles PV modules.

As per the agreement, during the first half of 2010, PV modules totaling 18 MW have to be supplied with agreed prices for the first quarter. The entire order has to be delivered during 2010. In January 2010, the initial shipments have commenced.

Ben Hill, Trina Solar's Vice President of Sales and Marketing in Europe, said that the company was delighted with the sales agreement. He commented that the agreement underscored Trina Solar's brand recognition in Germany. The order also demonstrates the continuing strong demand for its high quality PV modules from the company’s system integrator and distributor partners across Europe, he added.

Trina Solar Limited was founded in 1977 as a solar installation company and is now a manufacturer of high quality PV modules and is well recognized in the solar industry. The company has developed an integrated business model from the manufacture of silicon ingots, wafers, cells, to the assembly of high quality PV modules.
