Sify Technologies announced that it has launched its first online training course in partnership with Solar Living Institute (SLI), a non-profit organization based in U.S. The online course, which is titled ‘PV Design and Installation Training’, is currently offered in English for the U.S. market. The company said that the course will be translated and offered soon for other markets such as China, India, and Latin America.
John Schaeffer, Founder and Chairman of Solar Living Institute, commenting on the training program, stated that it is a great pleasure in helping to make the earth cleaner. He remarked that Solar Living Institute has been offering training on PV design and installation for more than 15 years. Schaeffer said the institute is happy to offer the paperless training and to make the people learn more by saving on time and money. He thanked the PV industry experts and Sify for their help toward the training program. Schaeffer mentioned that the online training course is accredited by ISPQ (Institute for Sustainable Power). The online participants can also attend the NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Professionals) examination, which is a vital credential to enter the solar industry, he said.
Business Head of Sify eLearning Services, Devraj Shetty, expressed his pleasure for the collaboration. Both the organizations equally contribute towards enhancing the efficacy of teaching as well as learning in sustainable energy and business practices, Shetty said. For the improvement of the training program, Sify and SLI are using state-of-the-art content that is combined with interactive 3D simulations. The online course also features real-life scenarios and integrative exercises, he informed. Shetty added that both the organizations are positioned well enough to offer the best training material available.
The various eLearning courses, provided by Sify and SLI, include sustainable business and personal practices, and technical training to finance, sales and marketing.
