Baxi offers the Geoflo 12kW to 20kW geothermal heat pump that is designed for use in domestic water heating. The heat pump captures the latent heat from earth with the help of collectors that are buried in the ground. The collected heat is transferred to the water heating system for use. As the earth temperature stays constant after a certain depth, the heat pump provides consistent heat. The ground source heat pump helps to minimize the carbon emissions.
The Geoflo 12kW to 20kW geothermal heat pump can be installed easily without any formal training. The heat pump, manufactured by Baxi, can also be combined with solar technology. As the heat pump does not require annual service, it reduces the maintenance costs. The ground source heat pump is equipped with a high efficient scroll compressor that provides good savings both on carbon and costs.
The Geoflo 12kW to 20kW geothermal heat pump comprises four main components, namely, an expansion valve, a compressor, a condenser, and an evaporator. Other components of the geothermal heat pump package are heat pump controller, slinky manifold, slinky coils, and antifreeze. The working fluid of the heat pump is always maintained cooler than the earth heat, so that it can draw the source heat. The ground source heat pump is suitable for buildings that are well insulated and have under floor heating system.
