Thick soapstone panels lined inside the firebox makes the Morgan wood burning insert efficient with thermal mass, which helps to absorb heat and release it slowly. The firebox with an area of 1.7 cubic feet produces heat up to 40,000 BTU and heats an area of 1,200 square feet. It has a large front door that allows logs with a length of 18 inches. This firebox can hold 36 pounds of logs and the firebox surround measures 29 inches (height) x 40 inches (width), respectively. The Hearthstone Morgan wood burning insert, with a combination of soapstone and cast iron, provides extended hours of heating. This wood-fired insert has 79 percent heating efficiency.

The Hearthstone Morgan wood burning insert incorporates a single air-intake lever. The air entering through the secondary air tubes ignites gases rising from the burning wood, and provides a clear view of the flames. This fireplace insert is equipped with a non-catalytic combustion system to provide more heat with clean burning and to reduce creosote buildup and smoke. This insert also includes a removable baffle, mantel heat shield, leveling legs, screen, surround caps and a fan incorporated with rheostat and thermostat.
