Eurus Energy Completes Combine Hills II Wind Energy Farm in Oregon

Eurus Energy Group has completed the Combine Hills II wind energy farm in the state of Oregon in December 2009. Eurus Energy and Clark County's Public Utility have signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the purchase of energy from the wind farm. From January 1, 2010, the sale of power from the facility has commenced.

The project comprises 63 units of MWT-62/1.0 wind turbines from Mitsubishi with each turbine rated at 1 MW. It is located in Umatilla County on 13,000 acres of farmland. The electricity generated from the facility is enough to meet the power needs of about 11,000 households and also helps to reduce more than 115,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per annum.

In the United States, Eurus Energy Group has nine projects and this Combine Hill II project is its second project in Oregon. In the United States, the total installed capacity of the company has increased to 590 MW with the commissioning of this project. Its world- wide installed capacity has risen to 1,900 MW.
