Mercury Solar Systems Acquires Philadelphia-Based Eos Energy Solutions

East Coast’s largest solar integrator, Mercury Solar Systems, has acquired Philadelphia-based Eos Energy Solutions, a rapidly growing solar integrator in Pennsylvania. The acquisition will help Mercury Solar Systems to expand its operations in the Eastern Seaboard spanning New Jersey, Connecticut,  New York (Westchester, Long Island and New York's five boroughs), and Pennsylvania.

President of Mercury Solar Systems, Jared Haines, said that the acquisition will help the company to provide its affordable solar energy solutions to homeowners and businesses throughout Pennsylvania. Haines commented that the rate caps on electricity imposed by the state will expire at the end of 2010 and this is the correct time to invest in solar power. The company is expecting to help more customers to take advantage of the incentives provided in the Pennsylvania Sunshine Solar Program

Founder of Eos Energy, Andrew Kleeman, said that the company’s capability to provide cost-effective solar energy solutions to its customers has been fundamental to its success. The acquisition will help the company to expand its product offering and expedite the supply of about 1 MW of solar power systems that has been contracted.
