AdvanceBio Offers Bench Scale System for Pre-Treatment of Biomass

AdvanceBio, a technology company based in Cincinnati, is offering a new system for pre-treatment of biomass. This biomass pre-treatment system, Bench Scale System, is for renewable chemical and cellulosic ethanol industries. By offering this new system, the company has now expanded its product line.

Dale Monceaux, principal at AdvanceBio, said that this new bench scale system is targeted at researchers who are developing next generation enzymes, crops, feedstocks and microorganisms. At present, researchers in technology development companies and universities are using batch steam guns. The new bench-scale reactor systems will replace these batch steam guns.

Development equipment offered by AdvanceBio includes Bench (11 kg/hr), Lab (75 kg/hr), and Pilot (190 kg/hr). In addition, commercial scale systems capable of processing up to 600 tons per day for industrial scale plants are also offered by AdvanceBio.

AdvanceBio, which was started in 2007, provides technology and consulting services for new projects in the biochemical and biofuel sector.
