Energy Saving Systems supplies tubular skylights manufactured by Solatube, including the 290 DS model. The Solatube tubular skylight features a tube diameter of 14 inches, offering a light coverage area of 250 to 300 square feet. The effective daylight capturing surface of the daylighting system is 290 square inches. The tube of the skylight has a potential length of more than 30 feet.

The Solatube 290 DS tubular skylight is available with two diffusers, namely, Vusion and OptiView. Both the diffusers come in two designs: frosted shade and stainless tone trim. The frosted shade gives a contemporary look, while the stainless tone trim goes well with metal finished fixtures. The solar daylight, offered by Energy Saving Systems, can be included with various options such as daylight dimmer and light add-on kit. The daylight dimmer feature controls the amount of light required to enter the room. The two light add-on kit options available are universal and compact fluorescent.

The diffuser of the Solatube 290 DS daylight can be used with different effect lens such as warm effect lens, natural effect lens, warm softening effect lens and softening effect lens. The effect lens is used to warm or soften the light color, and adjust the light as well. The tubular skylight is offered with four flashing options that make installation on the roof easy and quick. The flashing choices are pitched, curb mounted, universal tile and no pitch.
