The Small-Area Class-B solar simulator has a spectral tone with the AM1.5 Global Reference Spectrum. It has uniformity and stability as part of larger-beam solar simulators. This solar simulator offered by PV Measurements meets the Class-B requirements of ASTM E 927, IEC 60904-9 and JIS C 8912-1989 standards for sequential stability, spectral match, spatial uniformity and illumination direction. The framework of threaded holes present at the base enables the system for easy mounting.

The small-area solar simulator available from PV Measurements is available in adjustable height. It is equipped with a Tungsten filament lamp that can last up to 1000 hours. There is also a spare lamp included with this simulator. This solar simulator has provision for fixing added filters in beam path. There is a digital readout system utilized for current and voltage. The small-area solar simulator is supplied with instruction manual and it also has optional custom test fixtures.
