Great Lakes Plumbing & Heating offers the Viessmann Pyrotec 950 wood fired boiler that features underfeed combustion. The wood combustion boiler includes a burner trough that is attached with a moving annealing grate and an external grate, to provide maximum combustion. The wood fuel is moved into the burner trough by the feed auger. The wood is pre-dried and gasified in the burner trough under controlled primary air. The fuel gasifies completely on the external and annealing grates and becomes syngas.
The syngas is then completely combusted by controlled secondary air. This releases thermal energy into the triple-pass heat exchanger of the boiler. The Pyrotec 950 wood fired boiler is equipped with a modulating digital output control. The precisely controlled primary air and secondary air generates ultra low emissions. The biomass boiler, provided by Great Lakes Plumbing & Heating, also features advanced safety equipment to ensure safe operation.
The automatic ignition device of the boiler limits idling, while saving fuel. As the boiler features automatic de-ashing, it requires low maintenance. The Pyrotec 950 wood fired boiler is designed to handle all tough loads. The output of the wood boiler is 950 kilowatts, with an efficiency of 85 percent. The maximum operating pressure of the wood fired heating system is 30 or 60psig. The dimensions of the biomass boiler are 120 inches (height), 150 inches (length) and 64 inches (width).
