PV Measurements Offers Photovoltaic Reference Cells

PV Measurements designs and builds products for photovoltaic industry. The company offers different products including reference cells, measurements systems and solar simulators. The photovoltaic reference cell, a radiometer, is utilized for evaluating illumination levels while measuring the functions of photovoltaic devices.

Photovoltaic Reference Cell

The photovoltaic reference cell measures the amount of light on the test device to calculate the performance of light-to-electricity conversion in the solar modules and solar cells. The reference cell fixes the specific test condition for measurement. The reference cell comprises solar cell, protective window, temperature sensor and a solid enclosure. The temperature sensor, cell type and window material can be customized based on the requirements of customers. The company offers reference cells to customers with or without calibration.

The photovoltaic reference cell is used with solar simulators. The photovoltaic reference cell consists of 2x2cm silicon solar cells in square shape, four-wire contact and a mounting-hole pattern, which suits with the reference cell design of WPVS. This reference cell offered by PV Measurements incorporates a temperature sensor and BK7 glass window and there is a low-reflective coating around solar cell and behind window. The alternative thermocouple type or RTD temperature sensor is included with this reference cell as an option. Cable termination can be done with the desired connector. Other options are available on request.
