GreenHouse Holdings is partnering with TEECO International for a unique and innovative rapid-deployment renewable energy plant in Nevada. This new energy plant called “Energy Tree” can be deployed and removed within eight hours. The demonstration plant is to be installed in the city of Las Vegas.
The Energy Tree, which is capable of generating 1 MW of clean energy, comprises a 40-foot tower, wind turbines, photovoltaic panels and a generator. GreenHouse provides the ethanol, which is derived from organic waste, to power the Energy Tree.
Russ Earnshaw, President of GreenHouse Holdings, said the innovative solution provides clean energy from rapid-deployment and sustainable source to the city of Las Vegas, one of the worlds’s most trafficked cities. The energy plant can not only reduce the city’s carbon footprint but also reduce its energy costs. This project will serve as a model to help our goal to install alternative energy resources throughout the nation. The company’s goal is to help the nation to reduce its dependence on oil from other countries while creating green jobs in the U.S., Earnshaw said.
Fleet Manager and Transportation Services Manager for the City of Las Vegas, Dan Hyde, said this unique hybrid solution could change radically the way how renewable fuel will be used in Nevada and in the rest of the U.S. Dan Hyde, who is also Executive Director of the Las Vegas Regional Clean Cities Coalition, said the city is eagerly looking forward to work with TEECO International and GreenHouse Holdings to radically change the renewable energy industry.
