Yingli Green Energy to Supply 285 MW of PV Modules to Gehrlicher Solar

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited, one of largest vertically integrated manufacturer of photovoltaics in the world, has entered into a three-year framework agreement with Gehrlicher Solar AG to supply photovoltaic modules totaling 285 MW over a period of three years through 2012.

Gehrlicher Solar AG, a leading European PV systems integrator, will be deploying these PV modules primarily in ground-mounted, commercial rooftop and residential solar power plants across important PV markets in Europe.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Yingli Green Energy, Liansheng Miao, said the company is delighted to partner with Gehrlicher Solar. This collaboration with the company will further strengthen Yingli Green Energy’s position in this key region. The company is especially impressed with the successful track record established by Gehrlicher Solar in the PV market, Miao said.

Chief Executive Officer and founder of Gehrlicher Solar, Klaus Gehrlicher, said the agreement with Yingli Green Energy will further strengthen its position in the crystalline market as well as increase the representation of both the companies in major European solar markets. The company is further delighted to add high-quality modules from Yingli Green Energy to its product portfolio, Gehrlicher said.
