Cupertino Electric Completes Two Solar Projects in Pleasanton and Novato in California

The Energy Alternatives division of Cupertino Electric has completed the installations of 360-kW and 36-kW solar photovoltaic systems in the cities of Pleasanton and Novato, respectively. The systems were designed and built as per the needs of these cities by Cupertino Electric. The solar power systems are installed on the cities corporate yards’ rooftops.

Director of Operations for the City of Pleasanton, Daniel Smith, said the project is city’s largest renewable energy facility to date that will enable to the community to reduce its environmental impact and cost of energy. Competitive pricing, proven track record for safety as well as the capability to design and construct complex solar projects are some of the factors that helped the city to chose Cupertino Electric for this project, Smith said.

Michael Frank, City Manager for the City of Novato, said the project at the city’s corporate yard represents a major component of the renewable energy initiative undertaken by the city.  The design and build services provided by the Cupertino Electric ensured an integrated solution to the renewable energy project.
