Deere Retains Goldman Sachs as Financial Advisor to Assist in its Wind Energy Business

Deere & Company announced that it has retained Goldman, Sachs & Co. as its financial advisor to help the company in its task of reviewing the options for its wind power business.

Deere stated that it has not reached any agreements and not made any formal decisions related to its investments in wind power projects that are in development stage or operational in many states in the United States.

During the last five years, Deere has been in the wind energy business including financing and development of wind projects. The company owns many projects in the country. In rural U.S. communities, the company has financed many wind energy projects including project development and management.

Deere has several wind power projects in development stage and it has 34 projects with a total operational capacity of 706 MW across seven states in the country.
