Pfister Energy is a renewable energy company that provides solutions for wind turbines, photovoltaics, solar thermal, daylighting, solar lighting, geothermal, green roofs and rainwater harvesting. It has carried out various solar roofing projects including Valley National Bank. The solar integrated roofing system for Valley National Bank, which is situated in Wayne, New Jersey, was completed on September 2006. The new solar integrated Soprema 2-ply SBS was installed on the roof.
Pfister Energy, working in collaboration with Soprema and Uni-Solar, has developed an energy-saving solution to suit the requirements of Valley National Bank. Solar panels of Uni-Solar were fixed to the Soprema roofing materials directly to form a lightweight solar roof together with an ROI. This solar roofing system installed on Valley National Bank could produce 50kW DC. The size of this project was 22,425sq.ft. The deck type was steel. The top ply was made of Sopralene Flam 180 FR GR and the base ply was of Sopralene Flam 180.
The solar roofing projects on Valley National Bank were performed by Pfister Energy. The company’s crew removed the existing roofing materials, installed a smooth Sopralene Flam 180 base-ply membrane, then the Sopralene Flam 180 FR GR White cap ply membrane, which is polyester-reinforced. After getting approval from the Soprema field tech, the crew applied cold epoxy resin on the roof and fixed the solar panels manufactured by Uni-Solar.
