Heliodyne provides various models of solar hot water systems including the Cool Climate Packaged System. This solar water heating system is suitable for areas with issues such as hard water or freezing water. This solar hot water system can be installed on an existing water tank. The hot water system from the company features a closed loop design that enables the heat transfer liquid to circulate in collectors, rather than water circulating in collectors. This ensures hassle-free operation and durability.
The Cool Climate Packaged System includes solar collectors, mounting hardware, expansion tank, heat transfer liquid (glycol), Helio-Pak heat transfer appliance, Delta-T controller and DOS discs. The controller of this solar hot water system automatically starts the pump when the heat in collectors is enough to be drawn. Then, the heated fluid is circulated through the heat transfer appliance to transfer the heat to the water. After this, the heat transfer fluid is reverted to the collectors to get re-heated. The liquid is circulated continuously until sufficient heat is available from collectors.
In case solar energy is unavailable or available in lower amounts, the backup heating system provides the hot water. The number of collectors for the Cool Climate Packaged System is determined according to the number of people using the hot water. For one to two persons, one collector is suitable, while for seven to nine persons, three collectors are required. This packaged hot water system, provided by Heliodyne, can also be upgraded to the premium package that allows adjustments and settings according to the customer’s needs.
