Lumeta offers different kinds of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products such as the PowerPly solar module. This integrated solar module contains 160 monocrystalline cells, each measuring 125 x 125mm. The manufacturing of this solar module involves the EVA-based solar cell encapsulation process. This BIPV solar module features a fiberglass reinforced plastic substrate, instead of the conventional tedlar/polyester/tedlar substrate. The fiberglass reinforced plastic substrate provides required strength to the module.
Lumeta’s adhesive backing material used in the PowerPly solar module is suitable for almost all types of roofing surfaces. Roof systems that are compatible with this solar module include modified bitumen, single ply membranes and metal. As the integrated solar module is directly attached to the roof surface, there is no need for mounting hardware. This reduces installation time by about 50 per cent and installation costs by about 70 per cent. With the DuPont fluoropolymer front sheet, this PowerPly BIPV module is lightweight as well as durable.
The PowerPly solar module provides a peak power of 380 watts. The maximum power point current and voltage are 4.9A and 79V, respectively. This photovoltaic solar module, offered by Lumeta, has an open circuit voltage of 98.9V and short circuit current of 5.2A. The length, width and height of the PowerPly BIPV module are 2438mm, 1219mm and 10mm, respectively. This photovoltaic module weighs 31.75kgs.
