RMT Receives Greenhouse Gas Reporting Contract

Harris County Department of Education’s division, Choice Facility Partners (CFP), will be provided with Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Service & Related Services from RMT, Inc., an energy and environment company.

Dr. Larry Lew, RMT Senior Consultant and Program Manager, explained that under the terms of the contract, the company will help CFP members with determining and recording application of the GHG Mandatory Reporting Rule of USEPA, and if required, computing GHG emissions, writing GHG Monitoring Plans to assist in controlling and monitoring emissions and offering compliance assistance.

Dave Oldaker, RMT Senior Consultant, said the contract will help the process of USEPA requirement compliance for CFP members that will be more efficient. The services from RMT are available for the CFP members, as the necessary government bid process has been completed already. This will save money and time for the members.

The contract which is effective from 22nd February, 2010, is for a period of one year and may be renewed every year for up to four years. RMT may offer additional environmental services as per the contract that includes consulting for any emissions, discharges, application preparation for permits by rule, individual or general permits, required reports preparation, applicability analyses, environmental assessments, remediation, sampling and analyses.
