Polar Power offers a range of solar powered vaccine refrigerators designed for medical cold chain applications. The RR-2 chest-type vaccine refrigerator/freezer with its 127L capacity can store vaccines and medical supplies in remote locations. This vaccine refrigerator/freezer is equipped with two independent compressors. Its refrigeration circuitry provides reliability and improves the system’s efficiency. The RR-2 solar powered refrigerator/freezer is equipped with a removable divider to separate refrigerator and freezer components, charge controller and a built-in battery storage compartment.
The RR-2 model can function even with less sunlight. When connected to the grid, a battery bank and 9650AC battery charger can be used to store energy for use during power blackouts. The fixtures and cabinets of this vaccine refrigerator/freezer supplied by Polar Power are unbreakable. The RR-2 refrigerator/freezer’s condensing coils and refrigeration lines are made of pure copper so that they can resist against corrosion in any environment. Other materials used in the system are made of plastic, aluminum and stainless steel to offer long service life to the system.
The cabinet of the RR-2 solar powered refrigerator/freezer is designed in a single one-piece structure along with a foam-filled hallow core. The system’s dual compressor feature makes large quantities of ice at 52 degree Celsius. It is capable of producing up to 6kg of ice in 24 hours using proper PV array. The RR-2 model’s photovoltaic package includes solar array, ground and roof mounting array structure, and mounting hardware with electrical wiring necessary for the system.
