The Helio-SRP water and space heating premium solar thermal system, offered by the company, is a rack mounted model. This solar thermal system combines water heating and space heating in one system. Due to this combination, the accumulated heat from the sun is not wasted. When the solar energy is not used for water heating, this system automatically heats up the space.
Helio-SRP Solar Water and Space Heating Systems
The heat exchange system of the Helio-SRP water and space heating premium solar thermal system is a closed loop system. This means the heat exchange fluid and water flow separately in different lines. The closed loop system avoids freezing or overheating of the solar thermal system. In addition, it also protects the solar collectors from long term damage due to hard water buildup.
The heat exchange fluid is circulated through solar collectors, while the water is circulated through the heating system. The fluid is heated up in the solar collector by using solar energy. Then the fluid flows down and heats the water through a precision thermal transfer unit. The storage tank is used to store warm water. The Helio-SRP solar thermal combo system, offered by ABS Alaskan, is suitable for flat or shallow slope roofs. The rack mount system enables the collectors to receive maximum solar exposure, even if placed facing north.
