A Zachry Holdings, Inc.’s subsidiary Zachry Industrial, Inc. has been chosen by Rollcast Energy to design, procure, and build the Piedmont Green Power project having 53.5 MW capacity in Barnesville, Georgia. The project will supply clean energy to over 40,000 homes. The project is likely to be completed by 2012.
Zachry Industrial has a 30-year experience operating in the biomass sector and has engineered over 640 MW of biomass energy.
This joint effort by Rollcast Energy and Zachry Industrial will create more jobs in the Barnesville area. The Piedmont Green Power project will create over 300 jobs during the construction stage. Over 100 jobs are likely to be created for fuel delivery and processing.
