Vensys offers the 2.5 MW Vensys 100 wind turbine. This grid connected wind system incorporates a microprocessor controlled control system with a remote monitoring function. An electrical drive motor is installed in the yawing system. The tubular steel tower used in this model measures 100 m, and it is fixed on a flat foundation.
The 2.5 MW Vensys 100 wind turbine has a rated power of 2500 kW and its cut-in wind speed is 3 m/s. The rated wind speed of this turbine is 13.5 m/s and its cut-out wind speed is 25 m/s.
The Vensys 100 wind turbine incorporates Vensys synchronous generator using permanent magnet excitation. The rated voltage of this generator is Y 690 V and this generator utilizes F category insulation. The rotor of this wind turbine has a diameter of 100 m and manages a sweep area of 7823 m2. The speed range of this wind turbine is rated between 6.5 and 14.5 rpm. A variable, microprocessor operated remote monitoring system is provided for controlling the speed of this turbine.
This wind turbine incorporates three blades of LM 48.8 type or any comparable type. The Vensys 100 wind turbine has a pitch power control to turn the blades away from the wind during excess power output. To stop the wind turbine, a triple-redundant type of brake is used and to hold the wind turbine from moving anchor brake is used.
