ABB offers the ABB PVS800-57-0500kW-A model central inverter. Currently the inverters are available in 100, 250 and 500 kW ranges and help in converting the DC current generated by the solar modules in to AC current for feeding into grids. The in-built MPPT (maximum power point tracking) algorithm included in the model enables harvesting of maximum energy by the solar modules.
This inverter is designed to work in extreme weather conditions and provided with a wide range of electrical and mechanical shielding for a continuous reliable service.
The ABB PVS800-57-0500kW-A model central inverter provided by ABB has a width x height x depth dimension of 3030 mm x 2130 mm x 644 mm and weighs 2200 kg. The rated input details of this model include a recommended max PV power of 600 kW, a DC voltage range of 450–750 V, a max DC voltage of 900 V, and a max DC current of 1200 A. The rated output details of this model include a nominal AC output power of 500 kW, a nominal AC current of 965 A, an operating grid voltage of 300 V, an operating range and grid frequency of 50/60 Hz. The maximum efficiency of this model is rated as 97.5%.
This solar inverter can be installed quickly and offer a range of data communication options to reach the service networks. The modular design of the inverter allows adding of optional applications such as remote monitoring of AC output.
