Chromagen offers various models of Solar Collectors in vertical and horizontal designs. The absorber plate utilized in the models are built utilizing copper or aluminum sheet and welded to copper tubes either by laser or ultrasonic welding to ensure durability.
The plates are coated with exclusive black chrome paint, black paint, or selective clambered coating to prevent energy loss and to provide high-level performance. The insulation utilized in the solar collectors is made of 23 mm tough polyurethane foam with choice of optional layers. The single-pane patterned and toughened glass measuring 3.2 mm is used as solar glass and provides a maximum of 91% transmittance.
The solar collectors from Chromagen are offered in choice of casings such as natural black color casing made of anodized aluminum extrusion or galvanized steel casing in white, grey or black polyester paint finish. For optimum water flow distribution, the tubing grid incorporated in this solar collector utilizes 8mm or 16 mm copper risers soldered to 22 mm or 28 mm copper manifolds. For connector soldering, the solar collector models incorporates a distinct edge or four numbers of ¾ inch size BSPP female brass adaptors. The back plate of the solar collectors is made of black polypropylene sheet. An aluminum foil included in the insulation prevents out-gassing.
The diameter of the F type horizontal collector offered by Chromagen is 16 mm, gross area is 2.80 m², and its net aperture area is 2.56 m². The length x width x thickness of the solar collector is 218 cm x 127 cm x 9 cm and its empty weight is 44 kg. This collector has a fluid capacity of 5.1 L.
