Suntech Enters the U.K. Solar Market

Crystalline silicon solar panels manufacturer Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. has obtained certification for some of its products as per the UK Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). This certification, issued by the British Board of Agreement (BBA), is essential for the company to sell its solar panels in the United Kingdom.

The approval process of MCS comprises a factory inspection for ensuring that each and every production process exceeds or complies with reliability and safety standards, in addition to a product performance evaluation.

Solar installer The Green Electrician Ltd. is likely to provide the modules of Suntech Power Holdings to the former’s customers in the United Kingdom. The solar market of the U.K. is likely to have considerable growth as The Green Electrician indicates strong consumer demand. Solar energy is likely to be an ideal investment for both private and commercial U.K. customers, with the combination of robust government incentives.

Introduced in 2009, the sophisticated solar product testing plant of Suntech Power Holdings has received the VDE Test Data Acceptance Program Certificate and the Underwriters Laboratories Witness Testing Data Program Certificate.
