Red Herring Magazine has selected solar power solutions provider SolarEdge Technologies for its 100 Europe award, which highlights the most promising technology companies in the European region. Red Herring evaluates hundreds of companies for the award based on various criteria, including technology innovation, quality of management, and financial performance.
SolarEdge’s technology uses PowerBoxes, which optimize solar panel module power. The PowerBoxes include solar module monitoring software and a solar inverter. SolarEdge PowerBoxes boost energy production of photovoltaic (PV) installations by about 25%.
Red Herring had analyzed various companies in the security, Web 2.0, telecommunications, and clean tech industries before announcing the names of companies that qualify for the award. Companies such as Google, YouTube, Yahoo, and Skype are among previous Red Herring 100 award winners. The CEO of SolarEdge, Guy Sella, said the company is privileged to have been selected for the 100 Europe award.
