OutBack Power Systems offers the SMARTRE 3000 Grid Interactive Solution. This solution enables an easy-to-use grid tie solar connectivity with backup power for use at home and at small commercial establishments. This solution though operates similar to that of grid connected solar inverters but includes an additional battery backup feature to continuously offer power during grid outages.
The AC backup switch installed in the SMARTRE 3000 switches to battery connectivity without the trace of utility failure and facilitates even sensitive computer data backup to work unaffected. The OutBack multi-stage charging process included in the solution offers reliable backup power and extends life of the AGM batteries up to 10 years. The SMARTRE 3000 from OutBack Power Systems is available in power levels up to 3 kW and extends up to 69 kWh backup powers during power failures.
The SMARTRE 3000 utilizes type 3R outdoor rainproof aluminum enclosure. This solution can be used in outdoor or indoor and can be either pad or wall mounted. This solution has two enclosures and each enclosure has a height x width x depth dimension of 108.58 cm x 48.26 cm x 51.75 cm and the power electronics weighs 75.3 kg. The SMARTRE 3000 operates perfectly in temperatures ranging from -40 to 60ºC. The MPPT PV input voltage range of this module is 50-150 VDC and its MPPT PV operating voltage range is 50-145 VDC. The maximum battery charger output from AC source is 45 A DC and from DC source is 80A DC. The nominal battery voltage is 48 VDC and its operating range is 42-68 VDC. For protection against ground fault this module incorporates an 80A DC breaker with >0.5A detection feature.
The SMARTRE 3000 is ETL Listed to UL1741, and CSA C22.2 No.107.1.
