Windhager offers the SolarWIN Solar flat plate collector. This solar collector is available in SWA on the roof and SWI in the roof models.
The SWA 225 on the roof model incorporates a toughened, low reflection, low iron content 4 mm solar glass with higher level of radiation permeability. The toughened glass withstands hail storm. The solar absorber utilized in this module is made of copper with select coating for high level absorbtion up to 95% and emission up to 4%. The frame of the SWA 225 solar collector offered by Windhager is double walled and is made of powder coated aluminum.
The profile sections of this solar collector are made with an in-built glass holder and the beveled end mitre joints are welded for strength. The backside wall of this solar collector is made of 1 mm thick seawater resistant aluminum sheet. The SolarWIN solar flat plate collector is insulated up to 50 mm at the rear wall and 20 mm at the sides utilizing rock wool insulation to prevent vapor formation. The glass utilized in the plate collector is sealed utilizing 3-lip EDPM rubber seal. The height x width x depth dimension of the solar plat collector is 2100 mm x 1070 mm x 105 mm and weighs 52 kg.
The gross area of the solar collector is 2.25 m², its light inlet area is 2.02 m² and absorber area is 2.01 m². The water volume of this solar collector is 1.95 L, and its maximum operating pressure is 10 bar. This solar collector can be set up between 15º and 70º angles for better heat absorption.
