Suniva Expands Solar Cell Production Capacity to 170 MW

Suniva, a leading producer of monocrystalline silicon solar modules and cells, has completed the expansion of its manufacturing capacity at its Atlanta plant from the current 96 MW capacity to 170 MW capacity, by way of adding a third cell production line.

This new manufacturing line has already started its initial production, thus facilitating the company to meeting the ever increasing demand for its products. Recently, Suniva has expanded its workforce and therefore has created additional clean energy jobs as well in the U.S.

With its diverse, skilled, expanding workforce, the company produces high-quality technology and generates screen printed solar cell efficiencies. In November 2008, Suniva finished its first manufacturing line with 32 MW capacity, followed by the additional manufacturing line in 2009 with 64 MW capacity.

The CEO and Chairman of Suniva John Baumstark said that Suniva’s product quality bears testament to the fact that there is an ever increasing demand for their solar modules and cells of low-cost.
