SunSil Introduces SunSil 300 Solar PV AC Module to Offer 30% Increased Energy Production

SunSil has launched its new SunSil 300 Solar PV AC Module at the recently concluded InterSolar exhibition at Munich. The module has received excellent rejoinder from investing companies, installers and technology license, seeking companies.

The SunSil AC modules use sophisticated technology to prevail over the predicament faced by the currently used series wired solar cells such as drop in power production due to weak or shaded cells. SunSil utilizes laser technology to slash the standard cells into eight micro cells and organize them in groups of twelve. The incorporated patented Dynamic Microcell Optimization technology monitors and dynamically controls each group to tender increased output. The cells are not affected by external factors such as snow, moss, shadowing, falling of leaves or bird droppings and allows the modules to propose higher energy yield up to 30%.

The integrated PV structural design of the module allows easy assembling of the module. SunSil deploys a fully automotive production line and offers four to six times increased output than the normal assembly lines utilized by other standard PV module manufacturers.

SunSils CEO Erik Hansen recalled that the customers responded to the product as breakthrough and followed it by confirmed orders. A number of multi national companies have approached SunSil for licensing the technology for production. According to Erik Hansen though the company may still strive to manufacture the product from its facility at Denmark it also considers the option of becoming a leading player globally by licensing its product technology to other companies.

SunSil was also approached by several venture capitalists, and the company is holding discussions for €8 million funding towards the next stage of its development. The company is planning to close its financial investment options before the third quarter of the year 2010.
