Bullfrog Power and Kraft Canada have collaborated to green the electrical energy utilized during August 20-29, 2010 at the 2010 Kraft Celebration Tour.
This second-annual tour aims at providing 100% clean, renewable electricity. The tour will be re-vitalizing 10 Canadian communities while increasing green electricity awareness.
During this tour, 10 communities in Canada are likely to be awarded $25,000 by Kraft Canada. Kraft Canada and Bullfrog Power will be supporting green electricity towards minimizing the tour’s environmental impact while helping in increasing the awareness about clean energy choices that are available to Canadians.
Throughout Canada, the electricity of Bullfrog Power comes from hydro and wind plants that have been low-impact certified by Environment Canada as per its EcoLogo program. Kraft Canada’s environmental planning and strategy has its focus on reducing waste across its various production operations. Kraft Canada’s environmental goals include the reduction of CO2 emissions by 25%, solid waste to the extent of 15% and water usage by 15% while removing 150 million lbs. of packaging material by the year 2011.
