REpower Systems GmbH will be delivering and installing 22 units of its 3.4 MW wind turbine models, the 3.4M104, at the Hohen Luckow wind turbine farm located near Rostock in Germany, with an overall power generation capacity of 74.8 MW.

This wind farm has been developed by the company Denker & Wulf and is anticipated to be complete by 2012 summer. REpower Systems will be servicing and maintaining these wind turbines, which feature 128-m in hub height along with hybrid steel and concrete towers, by means of a contract that runs for 15 years.

This wind energy order represents huge success for Repower Systems in its Germany operations. The recent launch of the company’s German subsidiary signals its intention of further strengthening its position upon the domestic market. For the German wind energy market, the Hohen Luckow represents a large-scale project. REpower Systems’ 3.4M104 wind turbines illustrate the company’s impressive product portfolio in terms of attractive turbine types.
