enXco Signs Delivery Agreement with REpower for Supplying 70 REpower MM92 Turbines

A delivery agreement for the supply of 70 REpower MM92 turbines was signed by enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, with REpower. This agreement, which is based on the conditions laid out by REpower, a German turbine manufacturer, is for the supply of turbines up to 143.5 megawatts. Each of the 70 REpower MM92 turbines with  a capacity of 2.05 MW is scheduled for delivery in the year 2011.

Tristan Grimbert, CEO and President of enXco, remarked that turbines in the West Coast market will be secured by this delivery agreement. The company according to Grimbert is apt for carrying out wind projects because of the supreme quality of the sites selected by enXco in the Pacific Northwest and California. Grimbert stated that this turbine order highlights the company’s commitment in the project development and its ability to secure turbines in a successful manner.

Steve Dayney, CEO of REpower USA Corp., remarked that this turbine order apart from increasing the level of trust between enXco and EDF Energies Nouvelles Company has also strengthened the company’s competitive spirit in the US wind energy market.
