The Arizona Commerce Authority to Take Part in the Solar Power International Conference

The Arizona Commerce Authority, a department of Arizona State devoted to improving the business within the state and providing opportunities to international and domestic business communities, has declared its intention to take part in the Solar Power International Conference scheduled at Los Angeles from 12th to 14th October. The department will represent the State in the conference.

Arizona blessed with copious sunshine leading green energy states in solar power production and further research in the US. The state is constructing a 280 MW solar power plant at Solana and a 15 MW PV array plant at the Luke Air Force Base currently. The political leadership of the state utilizes the prevailing technology and resources to ably lead the state in solar power production and has made the state an abode for leading solar products manufacturers. The Renewable Energy Tax Incentives Program introduced by the state in the year 2009 offering a maximum of 10% income tax credit and 75% decrease on real estates and personal property taxes helped the renewable industry to grow in the state. The tax incentives helped the renewable industry company’s such as solar, geothermal, wind and other renewable energy sources to announce their further expansion or announce relocation of their businesses from other states to Arizona.

Bennett Curry, a spokesman from Arizona Commerce Authority, said that the state is bent-upon retaining its current leading position in renewable energy power production and improving its expansion in the important solar business. He added that the state is benefitted with enough solar energy to provide electricity to the entire country. He stressed that leading other states in the solar power production is prioritized by the state.
