Leviton Manufacturing has joined with Insolroll Window Shading Systems to formulate a solar shading solution that does not use batteries and work wirelessly. The new solar shading product from Leviton incorporates energy-saving technologies and hybrid protocol potentialities to offer a new dimension in commercial solar shading solutions.
The modular constructed solar shading system includes the exclusive Insolroll's advanced fabrication meant for solar shading products, incorporates the intelligent Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) radio frequency (RF) motorization expertise and self-powered, EnOcean-enabled LevNet controls of Leviton. The completely independent single-room shading solution, which offers improved comfort and energy economy, is the only solution that includes the advantages of both EnOcean and RTS wireless functioning programs and building control arrangements. In the beginning, the companies will concentrate in the initial production to cope up with demands of the commercial building segment. The solution allows simple and easy-to-maintain functions and made to order **type of energy reaping solutions, to allow the owners and operators of a building to utilize the features of the system, to improve the energy savings and to provide convenient and comfortable working environment. The mechanized shading system will allow reduction in use of energy and reduces the level of carbon dioxide release by cutting down the reliance on HVAC and other non-natural lighting systems while improving the ambiance within the building.
