EverPower Chooses Nordex to Complete Wind Power Project

Nordex USA, declared that it has received an order from EverPower Wind Holdings for a 75 MW wind power project utilizing its N100 wind turbines.

The contracted terms includes a premium type of maintenance service accord for a period of five years in addition to delivering, erecting, testing and commissioning of the wind turbines. Earlier in 2009, Nordex had supplied and erected 25 Nordex N90 2.5 MW wind turbines for EverPower’s 62.5 MW wind farm located in Cambria County, in Pennsylvania.

Jim Spencer, EverPower Wind Holdings President and CEO, has expressed his happiness in choosing Nordex wind turbines. He added that his company had earlier utilized Nordex wind turbines at its Highland Wind Farm and is satisfied with their performance and anticipates that the next generation wind turbines currently provided by Nordex will be available for power production for 97% of the period. The company formulates, owns and manages utility type wind farms to generate power and sell it to the local utility companies. It has offices in Portland, Bellefontaine, New York, Ohio, Oregon and Pittsburgh. The company currently has around 600 MW worth of wind projects in final stages at Pennsylvania, Ohio, Washington and New York and looking forward to complete the project in the ensuing three years.

Ralf Sigrist, Nordex USA’s President and CEO, expressed happiness in continuing their association with EverPower through their performance. He added that the better wind turbine expertise helps in making the wind power generation as a viable option for the use of conventional fuels and facilitate the country to achieve its electricity supply security.
