SunDurance Energy to Develop PV Solar Power System for United Stationers’ Distribution Center

SunDurance Energy has declared that the company has secured a deal to design and develop a 3.25 MW photovoltaic solar power system at the United Stationers’ distribution center located in Cranbury, New Jersey.

KDC Solar will be the owner of the project. It will lease the roof space from the facility owner. The Sudler Companies, and sell the power produced to the tenant, United Stationers, under a long-term power purchase deal. Construction will start in the beginning of 2011 and is slated for completion prior to fall.

SunDurance Energy has designed a photovoltaic solar power system that maximizes the power output of the 570,000 square-foot distribution center roof. The system will use 14,000 solar panels that will produce clean power that equals about 90% of United Stationers’ power consumption for an amount lesser than it now pays to the utility firm. The system is anticipated to generate 3,450 MWh annually.
