KB Racking, a company that specializes in the formulation, production and sale of products required for solar power generation projects, declared that it has finished the discussions related to the provision of racking systems required for the installation of 1.82 MWp worth commercial solar erections over 8 rooftops. The company anticipates completing the first project in May and others in 2011.
The AeroRack 100 model chosen for the project is light in weight and has a non-penetrating type of flat roof set solar system that does not require ballasting for support. The racks can hold large-sized photovoltaic arrays. The rack model incorporates a patented quick click type of system to lessen the installation costs, thus allowing speedy and easy installation. The racking system is provided to endure snow loads and heavy winds up to 180 km/h.
The system is manufactured utilizing the materials and labor sourced in Ontario and meets the requirements of Ontario Domestic Content to avail the feed-in-tariff program. Along with its German licensor the company has completed the installation of over 16 MW roof solar systems in Europe and Germany.
