Dow Corning Appoints SAMARO to Distribute Solar Solutions in France

Dow Corning, a company that supplies silicones and innovative silicon-based technology, has appointed SAMARO, a provider of specialty chemical products, as its dealer in France for its silicon-based solutions meant for solar-based applications.

SAMARO based in Lyon will perform the role of a technical resource and a manufacturing facility for the solar business of Dow Corning and will assist in the distribution of silicon-solutions to the local clients. Currently, SAMARO distributes Electronic Solutions of Dow Corning in France and will soon start distributing the Molykote brand lubricant solutions of Dow Corning in North Africa.

Dow Corning happens to be the one and only company to supply silicon-based solutions for the total photovoltaic value chain globally. The company has plans to invest and develop its range of total solution packages for the production of solar cell, module fabrication and installation. Its total solution packages include high-performing silicon products such as sealants, encapsulants, potting agents, coatings, adhesives and advanced solar grade silicon.

The development decisions on its global distribution network succeed its plans to invest an amount of $13 million in Solar Energy Exploration & Development Center (SEED) in Seneffe, Belgium and other such declarations. The SEED center will incorporate all the latest research equipment and will host facilities for solar research and development, production invention and customer cooperation.
