DelSolar Development USA, an auxiliary of DelSolar, has declared the completion of a 1.15 MW solar PV project for the La Mirada, CA located U.S. Foodservice. The project is the biggest among a series of solar project developed for the food distributing company.
DelSolar Development has developed and completed the solar installation at the U.S. Foodservice-Los Angeles premises in association with SunExpress. The solar installation includes a 10 kW and 16 kW installations over two canopies and a 1,124 kW installation over the rooftop of the company. The installation is completed utilizing 4,998 bits of D6P230A3E multi-crystalline 230 Wp solar PV modules manufactured by DelSolar.
All the installations will produce around 1,656,774 kWh of power every year, which is enough to meet the electricity requirements of around 150 U.S. houses. California Solar Initiative (CSI) through its incentive program has partly contributed to fund the program. The solar project generated more than 50 jobs in installation and construction linked services and contributed for the growth of the local economy.
U.S. Foodservice is one among the known foodservice distributors in the country. The company distributes its food and other related products to over 250,000 clients in the US. The clientele list includes multi-unit restaurants, education institutions, government facilities and independent restaurants.
