Day4 Energy, a worldwide solar PV products and solutions provider, declared that it has entered into an accord with PV Products (PVP), a Styria, Austria-based solar module manufacturing company, to supply technology and equipment needed to upgrade their present 30 MW manufacturing facility. The new facility will enable the company to produce solar modules utilizing Day4 DNA Technologies.
The technology advancement at the computerized 30 MW manufacturing facility of PVP will commence soon to enable the company to start production in the early part of September 2011. The new modules of PVP employ the Day4 DNA PV cell, an exclusive design format of Day4 DNA technology.
By incorporating the equipment and technology supplied by Day4 Energy, PVP with least capital investment will convert its present production facility to manufacture high-performance Day4 DNA solar modules. The new modules will incorporate Day4 DNA PV cells, which do not need soldering and the laminated modules will not suffer energy loss.
The Day4 DNA brand includes three in-house technologies of Day4 Energy that improves the performance of the modules over other modules such as the use of stay-powerful technology that links solar power cells in a distinctive manner for an increased level of energy collection even during cloudy or shaded light conditions all through the product life time, the live-long technology, which uses watertight back-sheet with aluminum layer protection to inhibit harmful gases, salt-mist, moisture and adverse weather conditions, which can impact the power produced by the solar panel and the work-smart technology to bring down the effects of shading on performance of the module.
