Platts Consolidates Biofuel Content into New Line of Products and Services

Platts, a major information provider for global metals, petrochemicals, and energy industries and a key source of benchmark price references, has launched new products and services focusing on the emerging biofuels sector, namely Platts Biofuels Alert, Market Data-Biofuels and Biofuelscan.

Platts Biofuels Alert is an extensive real-time service delivering breaking news, Platts price assessments, and market analysis for global biodiesel, ethanol, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), and European ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE). The alert comprises 60 live pages of commentaries, prices, plant crushing rates, regional plant operating rates, regional plant production rates, and other related information covering the United States, South American, Asian and European biodiesel and ethanol. The service is accessible through Platts on the Net, the proprietary platform of Platts, and Platts' distribution partners, including Global View, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and other third-party platforms.

Market Data-Biofuels is an end-of day flexible format data feed that helps financial modeling and trend analysis, providing access to price reviews for worldwide MTBE, biodiesel, ethanol and European ETBE and featuring renewable identification numbers. Platts delivers the data feed directly and via its distribution partners. It also offers custom and historical data sets.

Biofuelscan is a daily end-of-day PDF newsletter delivered through email and features Platts commentaries, price evaluations, charts and analyses of the global market for biofuels, which include ETBE, biodiesel, bioethanol and ethanol.

Except MTBE, all other Platts' biofuels content previously appeared in Platts Petrochemical Alert and Platts Global Alert will now be available solely in Platts Biofuels Alert.
