iVoice Technology, Inc., announced today a new Patent Application filing for Vehicle Mud Flaps made of molded recycled tire rubber. The application supports one of the Company's new "green" platforms. B Green Innovations, Inc., its wholly-owned subsidiary, is developing its "green" technology platforms. The new technology will be used to utilize rubber from recycled tires. Like other B Green technologies, this product removes environmentally harmful used tires and recycles the rubber to reduce raw material consumption. Recently, iVoice announced that it had filed a new Patent Application for a process it describes as "Recycled Tire Pod with Appliance Recess Guide." These new applications represent the beginning of many anticipated green technologies that is expected to emerge from B Green Innovations.
The invention relates generally to mud flaps for off road and road vehicles, including, but not limited to, automobiles, trucks, tractor-trailers, buses, motorcycles, ATVs, tractors, loaders, dune buggies, trikes and bikes. Specifically, the mud flap of the present invention, also known as mud guards, is formed of recycled, shredded and processed tires, and may include infrastructures, such as metal or plastic rebars or grids.
Since 1989, when only 10 percent of scrap tires were recycled or reused, the United States significantly increased its tire reclamation efforts to slightly more than 80 percent. However, the 55 million tires (19 percent) not reclaimed are being thrown into landfills or, even worse, disposed of illegally on roadsides and properties around the country. Perhaps you've driven by a tire graveyard, where hundreds or even thousands of tires create not only an eyesore but public health and safety hazards as well. Discarded tires are convenient breeding grounds for mosquitoes and rodents, which carry a host of diseases, including West Nile virus, encephalitis, dengue fever, and hanta virus. Tire piles attract children, who can injure themselves playing among them. Scrap tires in landfills can also damage the landfill linings that have been installed to help keep surface and groundwater free from landfill contaminants.
